All candidates must attended MANUAL HANDLING OF OBJECTS

Course Aim:
- Have increased knowledge of safe patient handling
- Have increased awareness of preventive measures which can reduce the likelihood of potential health problems, and lifting and handling accidents

Course Objective:
Training is designed to provide essential knowledge and understanding of the safe process of moving people to prevent injury to themselves and the person being moved, whilst also covering the legal requirements regarding the handling of people.
Assessment process:
This will be overall and continuous, against the course objectives including a practical assessment on the day.
