KDS Training, in partnership with Skills Development Scotland, have completed another outstanding & successful Academy.
14 candidates Graduated having completed an intensive 4 week Retail Training Academy delivered by KDS Training'. Once again the magic of KDS' unique approach and innovative training styles has taken candidate from day one on a rollercoaster journey which sees 28 years of combined unemployment almost entirely wiped away, and with it the lack of self belief and insecurities that unemployment can bring.
Candidate Fiona Deegan said of her time on the Academy, "I felt as if no one would hire me, and now I have a job!!" 7 other candidates already have job offers on the table and the remaining candidates have applications pending. 48 applications in total were made whilst candidates were on the course, 25 interviews attended. Some amazing statistics!
Graduating candidates leave with First Aid certification, Manual Handling certification, and an Introduction to Food Hygiene and IOSH certificate in Health & Safety management and having undertaken work experience placements with some major Retail employers. But they leave with more. They leave with a platform for the future, looking at life in a positive way, taking control and knowing that taking opportunities and making your own future is possible.
Final word has to go to supporting partner from SDS who wished the candidates well on their new employment, and she observed, "Everyone of you is so positive!" And with that, we look to keep in touch with a great Academy group, Partners and employers involved with the Academy!
