& KDS Training came together at a Graduation Event held within the David Lloyd function suite in Paisley. Invited candidates included those from the three Seasonal Gardeners’ Academy, those from a Non-Sector Specific Academy, and 11 candidates who today completed their Two Week Motivational Academy delivered by KDS Training in partnership with A4E. The event was to mark a turning point, an end and a beginning. Turning Point Candidates who had completed the Seasonal Gardener’s Academy celebrated their success at being offered jobs; with KDS Training delivering the highest level of motivated candidates that Renfrewshire Council’s Environmental Service had seen to date. Thirty four candidates were all awarded certification in completing this bespoke course of training covering key elements of the seasonal Gardeners jobs.
This was delivered through three Academy groups and resulted in over 50 years of combined unemployment eradicated. Gaining employment with Renfrewshire Council is a key turning point in the lives of these people and all agreed that the experience of the four week Academy model, pioneered by Stevie Kidd Managing Director of KDS Training, had impacted positively on their motivation, their belief and desire. Now it’s their opportunity to shine. An End. As any course comes to an end, there is a feeling of achievement as well as hope for the future. This is true of the motivational Academy which had been delivered in Edinburgh to local candidates referred from our partnership with A4E. With high levels of engagement and each individual showing positive changes, they all received special recognition in their own journey and achievements.
As this group of candidates finish today, the next group are about to commence their two week journey. A Beginning. Every person graduating today has a story and this day marks a beginning, but particularly for those entering employment in the coming weeks. Two candidates that completed the Non-Sector Specific Academy have success to shout about, with one of them having 28 years of unemployment wiped out as she has been offered a role in the Care sector she had wanted to enter for years. With laughter, smiles and maybe not all eyes dry, the KDS Team revisited each group’s journey and the event was completed with thanking the partners & celebrating the achievements of all.
