8 out of the 9 candidates who completed the academy have now found full-time employment in the care sector. The 9th candidate has moved into further education having been inspired by KDS Training’s approach to changing our candidates thinking and mindset to their personal development and future.
The course covered practical subjects such as First Aid, manual handling, care, fire safety, CV preparation, interview techniques and customer service. As well as practical subjects, personal evaluation and goal setting were a key aspect of the course. This included life coaching, a Stevie Kidd coaching day and personal development that followed the principals of NLP. There was also a buddy day to ensure candidates were prepared for their new role.
Overall, this Training Academy was one of our most successful courses yet and we look forward to building on this major achievement with our partners and future candidates.
