The open day was held this week and we were delighted to have a big turnout of candidates applying.
From an impressive section of candidates we were able to select 12 to begin the course this Monday.
The Academy will focus on the distribution sector and is in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council and Routes to Work North.
The 3-week Academy begins with buddy sessions and the importance of road safety. Other areas will be covered in the Academy including employability and first aid.
This will be the beginning of a great journey for the candidates who are all currently unemployed. Follow their journey via our Flickr channel.
Our Training Academies have grown nationally at a rapid rate over the last year. Academies in Angus, Ayrshire, Dunbartonshire, Dundee and Glasgow have all been launched this year; joining our Academies in Inverness and Renfrewshire.
