LET’S DO THIS! That was the catch phrase of Academy 26, and today was the culmination of the first chapter of their journey! It was twelve very different individuals who sat at their Graduation and accepted their certificates today than had crept into the Academy on day one!
Intensive personal enhancement work was delivered throughout the Academy by the Training Team and Stevie Kidd which developed confidence, self-belief and other soft skills specific to the individuals. This coupled with the Care Sector specific elements, including the Role of the Care worker, Introduction to Food Hygiene, Introduction to Infection Control, Health and Safety, Mental Capacity and Moving and Assisting of People and Objects, and the employability skills gave candidates the WOW factor at interview and on the Buddy day!
There were a range of emotions discovered and shown throughout the Academy and these were in evidence today as they all celebrated their success and took pride in wearing their new success symbols that were given as an anchor of their time with the Academy.
