On the inaugural Academy KDS successfully assisted 10 unemployed individuals in gaining employment within the distribution sector.
The successful KDS Training formula was off and running!
The next Academy, in April 2008, achieved a 100% success rate with another 10 individuals back into work. The total unemployment eradicated by this course was 45 years!
The phenomenal success continued when the next Academy in December 2008 saw the year end with another eight candidates finding employment.
KDS Training continues to run Academies in Renfrewshire, covering both care and distribution sectors, in partnership with Jobcentre Plus and the Paisley Partnership Regeneration Company.
The Academy includes first aid, fire safety, mock interviews, employability and road safety. Work experience is arranged with FedEx.
The candidates have life coaching with Stevie Kidd and Mind Over Matter training at David Lloyd in Paisley which covers relaxation with a physical workout.
Employment rates remain very high.
